Associate Members

Associate Members of WMPA do not receive their wholesale electricity from WMPA, but because they are public power communities, they and WMPA have similar interests.

The four WMPA associate members are the City of Gillette, City of Torrington, Town of Basin, and Town of Deaver. Each community has something unique to offer, and with public power as a part of them, each community is stable and successful.

Gillette, and Campbell County, have been enjoying an energy boom of late. With coal and coal bed methane abundant in this part of the state, Gillette is a prime area for energy companies.

Gillette is also on I-90, a major road to the Black Hills. Along the way, enjoy nearby Devil's Tower - the Nation's First National Monument.
