Laramie River StationPlant Statistics:
WMPA owns 1.37% of Laramie River Station, which was completed in the early 1980's. WMPA receives approximately 23 MW of capacity and 175 million kilowatt hours per year of energy from LRS. WMPA is one of six partners in the Missouri Basin Power Project that includes 3- 570 MW Generating Units at Laramie River Station, the 104,000 acre-ft Grayrocks Dam and reservoir, and 500+ miles of EHV transmission. For more information please reference Basin Electric's website. WMPA owns 7.1% of Dry Fork Station, which became commercial on November 1, 2011. WMPA receives about 29 MW of capacity and 221 million kilowatt hours per year of energy from DFS. Dry Fork Station is a 405 MW, air cooled, mine-mouth generating facility with state of the art environmental controls. In addition, the Agency is a contractor for Federal Hydropower from the Loveland Area Projects and the Colorado River Storage Project.
